HOW TO BECOME A NATURAL BEAUTY
While trying to look beautiful, we sometimes end up looking a bit artificial. This book will put you through how to enhance yourself, mind, and body, and at the same time also highlights the ideals of a natural beauty.
- BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL
Nothing exists that is more beautiful than this. The most efficient way is by maintaining a balanced diet regularly and also getting plenty of rest and exercise. Begin by walking with friends, taking up singing lessons, taking up dance classes, or just begin to jog around the block on a daily basis.
2. CLEAR UP YOUR SKIN.
Embrace your face. You have to learn to admit and love your skin even if it is not clear or toned. You can use natural products such as rosemary oil for acne, witch hazel for a calming effect on redness, Shea butter for more even skin tone, and tea tree oil for inflamed acne. Add a few drops of these natural ingredients to your nighttime moisturizers. Supplement the mixture by including more fruits and vegetables to your diet, and start getting plenty of vitamins D from the early morning sun. Always remember to exfoliate your skin at most three times a week. Do not over exfoliate. Over exfoliation will make your face turn red and go flaky. Always remember to rinse your face with cool water in the morning, after which you should use a cleanser that had no alcohol as its content. Put the cleanser in a small spray bottle for a light misting for you to make use of throughout the day. This should then be followed with a moisturizing face cream containing a sunblock.
3. HAVE HEALTHY HAIR.
To some who are of the habit of dying their hair, even though it is a great way to change up your look, and it always makes the hair stand out, always go for ammonia-free kits. You can ask your stylist or colorist at your salon to use gentle or ammonia free concoctions. Make use of a semi or demi-permanent dye. Always embrace your hair texture and color. Try as much as possible to avoid curling/flat irons. Remember, no hair type is unattractive, it all depends on the way we care for the hair.
4. GO MAKEUP FREE.
The effect of lots of makeup will have a later effect on the skin. Try as much as possible to go about your work with a makeup-free face.
5. BRUSH THOSE SHINING WHITES.
Brushing of the teeth at least twice a day is highly recommended. This should be followed by a restorative mouth wash. Chew sugar-free gum after meals and floss at night before going to bed. All these are to promote saliva flow. This ultimately prevents plaque acid thereby reducing the probability of cavities. Be sure to visit your dentist twice a year for cleaning and checkups. To keep the teeth white and shining, always drink strong acidic drinks like soda and coffee through straws to prevent your enamel from corroding or avoid them altogether.
6. GET SOME EXERCISE.
Just be yourself. Exercise what you enjoy. That is why it is termed exercise. It simply means "the act of putting or employing into play". If you like to sing, walk your dog, hike, run, ride a bike, dance, or even jog, do what you enjoy and what makes you move. Exercise releases hormones called endorphins. It also makes you feel more happy and confident.
7. GET ENOUGH SLEEP.
Sleep! Sleep!! Sleep!!! Sleep is wonderful, but on the contrary, we don't do it nearly enough. Try as much as possible to aim for the bare minimum of at least six and a half hours of sleep or shoot for nine to ten hours. Set regular lights out such as 21:00. Do not eat two hours before bed, this means you should learn to take your dinner as early as possible. It is advisable for you to stay away from caffeine. The major constituent of coffee is caffeine. If you drink a cup of coffee one hour before bed, you may likely have a sleepless night.
If you are having issues falling asleep, some systematic relaxation techniques are really helpful. Start at your feet by tensing your feet muscles for a count of 5 seconds and relax. Move up the body by tensing and releasing the leg, stomach, buttocks, hands, arms, face muscles and neck through counts of 5 seconds. If you have racing thoughts, try to imagine that your thoughts are like fish and you are catching them in a stream that is moving slowly. Acknowledge that they exist there and then try to send them on their way. Listen to relaxing meditation music preferable blues. They are very helpful in making you fall asleep.
A natural supplement that assists in sleep and relaxation is melatonin. This should be set aside for persons who usually have a very difficult time falling sleep and are already considering going on medication. You can try melatonin first. It is non-habit forming and naturally occurring.
